Description

3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid (ethyl ascorbic acid) is a stable, water-soluble vitamin C derivative. It is far more stable than L-ascorbic acid and less likely to irritate, making it a dependable choice for vitamin C serums and creams.

It provides antioxidant protection, helps visibly reduce dark spots and uneven tone, and supports a firmer-looking complexion.

How to Use

  • Dissolve in the water phase
  • Add below 40°C

Appearance:

White to off-white powder with a characteristic odour.
PH: 3.50-5.50 at 3%.

Can dissolve in water.


Storage:
Store below 30 OC in a well-ventilated and dry condition, keep sealed in the original package and away from light.


Shelf Life:
EAA can be stored for up to 2 years when the package is unopened and stored away from light. For longer-term storage, store in a fridge at 5°C to 15°C.

Formulation Guide
  • It is recommended to keep the pH of the formulation between 5-6.5 and to include an anti-oxidant when used in combination with other actives.
  • It is recommended that dissolve 1g 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid in 1g citric acid buffer (pH 5.5) and then add it to the water phase.
